Report about prison ministry for April-May 2009
With the help of God we continue ministering in the girls’ prison. Due to your prayers and God’s mercy, the situation in the prison is much better, it became more calm and stable. Now there are summer holidays, that’s why he girls can attend our classes regularly without problems. Now we conduct the classes on Sundays. We began a systematic study of the Bible because a permanent group was formed. Our first lesson was devoted to authority of the Word of God. Then we spoke about God’s Personality, creation of the World, first people, spiritual world, first sin etc. Every time we show the girls movie on VCR. Our students began sharing their need more willingly and almost all of them do not shy to pray for the needs themselves. It is a big progress in their spiritual state.
We did an Easter evangelistic program for the whole wards. We gave puppet performance and concert of Christian music. Both the girls and the guard accepted the program with great pleasure and invited us to come once again.
We did Easter gifts for those girls who attend our group constantly. Also we help the girls who ask us personally – we purchase the shampoo, soap, tooth brushes and paste, clothes who leaves for home or go to an adult prison. The administration asked us to help with money to fix electric wiring in the room we have classes and take out a subscription for a magazine and newspapers for the prison library.
We are going to visit the prison with a new program in July. It is an opportunity to tell once again about God’s love and the Way of Salvation for all the wards (there are around 300 of them) and their tutors and guard.
