¿Cuál es el ministerio hispáno?
Aquí en la Iglesia Bautista del Sur de Parkersburg, nosotros cuidamos a toda la gente de Dios. Llevando nuestra vida cotidiana, nos dimos cuenta que existe una necesidad de ayudar a la población hispana del “Mid-Ohio Valley”. Dedicados mayormente al servicio en la industria de alimentación, muchos están sin sus familias, trabajando 7 días a la semana con poco tiempo para la fe. Nuestra meta es proporcionarle una manera tangible de conectarse con Dios en medio de sus circunstancias de soledad.
Here at South Parkersburg Baptist Church, we care about all of God's people. As we went about our regular lives we realized that there was a need to minister to the Hispanic Population in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Largely centered in the food service industry, many are without families and work 7 days a week with little time for faith. Our goal is to provide them with a tangible way to connect 2 God amidst their very lonely circumstances.
¿Qué ofrece el ministerio?
Cada mes, tenemos un servicio de adoración en español en dos diferentes restaurantes del área (El Mariachi y Gran Ranchero). Esos servicios están llenos de cánticos, oraciones y de un mensaje bíblico relevante a las necesidades de la comunidad hispana. También ofrecemos periódicamente, clínicas de salud para problemas básicos como la diabetes, enfermedad cardíaca, etc. Recientemente ofrecimos una clínica de vacunación contra la influenza para todos trabajadores en ambos restaurantes.
Every month, we have a spanish speaking worship service in 2 different restaurants in the area (El Mariachi and Gran Ranchero). Those services are filled with singing, prayer and a biblically relevant message that speaks to the needs of the hispanic community. We also hold periodic health screenings for basic health issues like diabetes, heart disease, etc. Recently, we also had a flu shot clinic for all the workers in both restaurants as well.
