Welcome to SPBC online!  I am so glad that you decided to stop by and take a look at the South Parkersburg Baptist Church.

The SPBC is a church committed to living out its God given mission of becoming and making disciples for Jesus Christ.  The Bible in Mark 12:30, 31 instructs us to connect to God and others.  It says, “you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’  The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

As a congregation we have a passion for moving beyond the walls of our church and making loving connections with our community and beyond!  Our prayer for you is that you will Expect 2 Connect.  We believe that the only way to experience real life is to connect 2 God, connect 2 others and connect 2 the world in mission and ministry.  I can assure you that we will do our best to give you opportunities for connection in all three areas at the SPBC.

You will also notice the "2" in Expect 2 Connect.  It may look a little out of place but it’s there for a reason.  Our belief is that as we connect to God, others and the world we are called to bring others along with us.  That’s the reason for the 2.  Maybe one of the 2 is you!  We would love to have you as part of our family.  Come on in; connect 2 God, others and the world with us at the SPBC.
