We have Sunday school and Children’s church for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten classes meet at 9:00 for a traditional Sunday school experience. Within this time the children will participate in music, art, storytelling, and a variety of other activities. Following the Sunday school hour our Pre-K and Kindergarten children will have a church experience geared just for them. The first through fifth graders do a “Sunday School Rotation” where we study the same topic/theme for five weeks but each week the kids are in a different ‘workshop’. Our six workshops that we cycle through are: Cooking (a fan favorite!), Art, Games, Drama, Temple, and finally Theater (another favorite of the kids!)
Following Sunday school the children in grades 1st through 5th have their own worship experience in room 106 led by Pastor Janelle. We combine large group times with small group activities as well as singing, sharing, and praising God as we learn to apply Bible truths to today.
Sunday nights we put our Pre-K through 1st graders together for a fun time of learning and playing. Down the hall the 2nd through 5th grade boys are busy doing their “guy thing” while the girls are around the corner focusing on learning the Bible and what it means for them as young ladies.
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any better Wednesday night comes along and ROCKS the middle of the week! Our pre-k and kindergartners love Miss Gilda’s class on Wednesday evenings! She always has some fun surprise for them (like bringing in her computer and using it as part of the Bible lesson).
First Graders hang out with Pastor Janelle and do cool crafts and science experiments that go along with a Bible activity. Our second and third graders hang out with Marcia and Cecil and they never know if they are going to be meeting in a “sports arena” or a “campground” or some other place that Marcia creates!
Fourth and fifth graders enjoy having their space in our space themed theater room where Ryan and Jessica Cochran work very hard at helping the kids see things with a Biblical World View. They also have a lot of fun throughout the year doing special activities designed for only them!
